Everything Is Connected. Here's How.
From collapse to creation—tracing the threads of capitalism, civilization, and consciousness that broke our world to regenerate what comes next.
We are living through a convergence of crises.
It’s not just politics. It’s not just climate. It’s not just our minds, our bodies, our histories, or our systems.
It’s all of it. And it’s not random.
The Regenerative Futurist Substack was born out of a lifetime of pattern recognition and educating, advocating and consulting on the insights from it—and a burning need to name what’s happening before it eats us alive.
A special welcome to the 1,000+ new followers who have joined in the past couple weeks! I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re feeling the weight of our shared crises, you’re in the right place. Together, we’re creating a space where we can talk openly about the challenges ahead—and more importantly, the paths forward.
Beyond the professional labels and personal judgments they call me — futurist, advisor, founder, educator, systems weaver, polymath, troublemaker, rabble-rouser, “virtually unemployable in a conventional setting”— what I really do is ask the deeper, layered questions the entrenched, long-standing systems are too afraid to challenge—and I stay around long enough to co-create the answers. My work is not in the preservation of what no longer serves us, but in the incubation of what will.
I bridge worlds: indigenous wisdom with exponential technology, neurodivergent insight with social impact design, climate science with quantum labs, boardrooms with village classrooms. My thinking moves between altitudes and across horizons —from the soil to the stars—because transformation doesn’t happen in silos. It happens in symphonies.
In a world addicted to speed and sensational headlines, I choose rhythm and resonance. My path isn’t always linear, but it’s always deeply intentional. Every curious line of research and rabbit hole I go down is toward a recalibration toward alignment, wholeness, and healing. Be it on an individual or societal scale.
If there is one thing I’ve come to believe, it’s this:
The mindsets that broke the world cannot be the ones that restore it.
You may have found me through one of my articles (or related popular Threads posts), such as:

But these aren’t separate conversations. They’re part of the same wider system of unraveling and reweaving.
What I hope to achieve isn’t just commentary on what’s going wrong. What I want to ignite is a reckoning of how we got here, and where to from here.
“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.”

The Urgency of our Time
I didn’t start this to chase headlines.
I started this because the systems around us (political, economic, educational, cultural, social, environmental, etc.) are collapsing under the weight of their own dysfunction. And beneath the noise, we are being gaslit, slow-boiled and programmed to normalize it.
This is critically urgent now, as we see the accelerating erosion of democratic norms in the US, all around us. I don’t need to repeat the 24/7, relentless onslaught of news coming out of the White House you to know what I’m talking about, and what it means for our future, both here and around the world.
To confront this convergence of crises, we have to understand the ecosystem that enables it. And that means mapping not just politics, but the cultural, psychological, and economic machinery driving us toward collapse—including the systemic sanitizing of history, the worship of supremacy myths, and the denial of regenerative alternatives.
I’ve spent years researching, building, and living alternatives. I’ve worked with heads of state, changemakers, startups, scientists, Fortune 500, indigenous elders, farmers, neurodivergent thinkers, and many others working to shape the future. And I’ve seen one thing clearly:
We cannot regenerate the future until we understand how the past programmed us to self-destruct.
What This Substack Is
This is a map. A reckoning. A reset. A framework for regeneration.
This isn’t about just talk. It’s about the turning.
Going forward, to better organize a growing array of overlapping topics, I’ll be writing across multi-episode series across three main intersecting tracks:
1. Collapse & Control
How fascism, polarization, supremacy, and toxic power structures are coalescing, such as the Coup State series and how to face it, fight back and plan for the future in this chaotic world
2. Consciousness, Conditioning
How our minds have been shaped to uphold toxic and outdated systems at the nexus of history, culture, and schooling, and the mindsets and thinking skills we need to unlearn and relearn for the future; designing education and mental models for an uncertain future
3. Regeneration & Reimagination
How we build what comes next, rooted in truth, systems thinking and interbeing—the action-oriented evolution toward a better civilization, including:
My 7R Framework for Regeneration (which I gave a small preview in last week’s Zoom lecture)
The REAL Future of Work, Learning & Being for economic & social transformation
A more conscious, better capitalism that serves humanity and planet
Tools for changemakers, especially those who think differently
Topics will rotate between these three tracks. Some are personal. Some are political. All are systemic.
Each post is part of a larger living ecosystem of thought.

I’m on board! Art activist dancer here. I want to take some of this wisdom into dance. “Art is the back door to the subconscious”. I want to make people think and I really appreciate all the time, research and energy you’ve spent organizing, researching, and complying ALL this because you are right it’s all connected. Thank you! Not for Everyone.
But maybe for you and your sustainable, regenerative capitalism and responsible economy loving patrons?
Hello Bian,
I hope this finds you in a rare pocket of stillness.
We hold deep respect for what you've built here—and for how.
We’ve just opened the door to something we’ve been quietly handcrafting for years.
Not for mass markets. Not for scale. But for memory and reflection.
Not designed to perform. Designed to endure.
It’s called The Silent Treasury.
A sanctuary where truth, judgment, and consciousness are kept like firewood—dry, sacred, and meant for long winters.
Where trust, vision, patience, and stewardship are treated as capital—more rare, perhaps, than liquidity itself.
The 3 inaugural pieces speak to quiet truths we've long engaged with:
1. Why many modern investment ecosystems (PE, VC, Hedge, ALT, spac, rollups) fracture before they root
2. Why Judgment, ‘Signal’, and Trust Migrate Toward Niche Information Sanctuaries
3. The Hidden Costs of Clarity Culture — for long term, irreversible decisions
These are not short, nor designed for virality.
They are multi-sensory, slow experiences—built to last.
If this speaks to something you've always felt but rarely seen expressed,
perhaps these works belong in your world.
