As Canada pivots similarly from US economic and narrative agression, the biggest question in my mind is, what is China really thinking and how could our relationships over the next century change and prosper in unexpected ways?
This was a fascinating read. I especially enjoyed the use of the codes and how they relate to this topic (but I can see how they have wider application). I was disgustedbby JD Vance's ignorant comments. I can't stand him and hope this Trump regime is over without hurting.
Such a efficient and clear presentation of Chinese strategy. I lived in China for almost 8 years and since that time have talked to Americans about Chinese people’s willingness to suffer/expectation of suffering, the long-term thinking, and the “I’m going to study harder and harder to make China great” mentality they cultivated among at least the generation of students graduating around 2007-2010. This piece is 100 times more succinct in expressing why that matters.

I’ve been a study of China way back when they took advantage of corporate greed for grotesque profits off the backs of slave labor. I knew way back then China’s long term goal. Now I’m still alive to watch it happen. That’s not even considering the idiot in the mix. He’s making it so much easier for those in power.
